WAPA International - War-Affected People's Association - aspires to a world
where all children are protected from the impact of armed conflict.

By placing children's rights and dignity at the heart of its work, and by supporting the prevention work carried out by its implementing partners, WAPA is fighting to eradicate the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict. The aim is to reintegrate them into their communities and help them build a peaceful future.
By raising awareness among the general public, in schools and by lobbying political leaders, WAPA is working to advance the protection of the rights of children affected by armed conflict.

Why donate?

WAPA International is recognised as an accredited civil society organisation (CSO), adheres to the RE-EF code of ethics and is a member of the CNCD and Donorinfo. 
WAPA International is able to allocate 70% of the funds raised to field projects in our partner countries and in Belgium. Since 2013, WAPA International has been the only association working exclusively on the prevention, protection and reintegration of former child soldiers. For individuals, donations are tax-deductible up to 45% from €40 per year. For companies, donations are 100% tax-deductible. 
As a reminder, from 2025 a new legislative text will require organisations authorised to issue tax certificates to mention the identification numbers in the National Register of donors who will benefit from a tax deduction when submitting the file containing the certificates to the FPS Finance.

In Belgium, by indicating your National Number, your tax certificate will be automatically integrated into your Tax-on-Web return. Without this number, you continue to benefit from the tax advantage via a manual addition to your tax return, in accordance with the obligation of the FPS Finance since 01.01.2024 - art 323/3 CIR92
